Given the Onion's purchase of Infowars was rejected by a judge a while ago, I think at this point they should just buy the company anyway. Seriously!

Unfortunately that's not how that works. They can't 'just buy the company' because infowars won't sell to them.

I think you mean Alex Jones won't sell to them. But it doesn't matter even if he wanted to, since at this point it's effectively govt property and it's the govt officials who decide.
