As if the gestspo would care

CubitOom@infosec.pub · 14 pts · 218d (15 replies)

The fascists are not the target audience.

mrdown@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 218d (14 replies)

It is not the letters that changed things it was real actions like boycott and mass protests

CubitOom@infosec.pub · 7 pts · 218d (3 replies)

I'm not sure why you are talking in the past tense.

Non violent action is still active resistance, and all resistance to fascism is good.

Authoritarian regimes need obedenence, don't give it to them willingly.

Not everyone can be involved in an underground movement, not even everyone can be involved in an above-ground movement.

You want the kindergarteners to form boycotts and mass protests?

mrdown@lemmy.world · -9 pts · 218d (2 replies)

Here we go another person who selectively read what I say. I said don't involve kids and let adult handle it with peaceful meaning like boycotting and protests. People ho don't have the courage to protest or can't afford boycotting can still debunk ICE and it's supporters propaganda online. Saying please ICE stop terrorizing people is not going to help and is not resistance .

Do you realize that ICE could use that video to identify the non white kids parents and may deport their parents knowing that ice is acting like the gestapo

humanamerican@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 217d

I've been to plenty of protests like this and seen lots of families with kids attending. Not all protests are tense antagonistic standoffs. The fact that ICE intentionally turned this into one while children were present says way more about the government's intentions than the protestors' parenting judgment.

Boycotts and mass protests get more participants when people with a conscience see videos like this. That's why OP said in a parent comment the video wasn't for the fascists. Its for us.

Again the title and the kids first two words they said is adressed to ICE and now those kids and parents sre at risk of being targeted by thr facist. If it was adressed for normsl prople they would say dear people, dear friends, dear neighbourgh etc.

They couls also have hidden the kids face to protect them

Are you an alien who's reading Lemmy to study humans? How is this beyond your grasp?

humanamerican@lemmy.zip · 0 pts · 217d (2 replies)

You're so dense I'm surprised you haven't collapsed into a black hole.

Lol

cybervseas@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 218d

Those kids are on a list now, too 😕

ToTheGraveMyLove@sh.itjust.works · 6 pts · 218d

Cute, but the far right hates children. They see them as property, not people. This won't sway them.

“The hearts of men will grow cold”

DaMummy@hilariouschaos.com · 3 pts · 217d

Is this directed at literally the "fuck them kids" president?

DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social · 2 pts · 217d

The agents will enjoy it.

These are children's letters of opposition.

I do not think you have the ability for critical thought.

Just don't get kids involved and protest in the street

Maybe the goal isn't for the letters from kids to change their mind, but to add to the public sentiment that there's some crazy shit happening and help get the adults fired up.

Poorly phrased but sound reasoning.

Only reacting will not help.
