Is this community still active? I am moving out from Rageddit and would like to have a place to help, vent and exchange experiences here. BTW I based in Austria. Brain metastasis from kidney tumor. If anyone wants we can meet here from time to time. All the best. e.

I'm here! Lost my bladder to cancer 4 years ago.

Clean so far!

Hi, Nice to know you are doing well. I had my right kidney removed about 5 years ago. We are now monitoring the metastasis in the brain. I had one surgery and another radio-surgery to remove the 1st and 2nd metastatisis. Another one came up but not big enough to be "zapped". In 3 months we will reaccess the situation. In the meantime I try to keep myself positive that all will go well.

All the best an greetings from Austria =)

Is it mostly radiation for treatment?

Yes. Since the big tumour has been removed with surgery the coming metastasis are dealt with radio-surgery and then radio therapy. Have a nice day!

I recently discovered this community as well, so I can’t speak to how active it is. I'm based in North America and have just completed my treatment for mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma. I had a 6.5 cm mass at the top of my heart that obstructed blood flow, leading to SVC syndrome.

I wish you all the best in your recovery journey.

What was the treatment?

I opted for 6 cycles of DA-R-EPOCH. My oncologist gave me a choice of that or going the route of R-CHOP which was a less aggressive chemo plan, but involved radiation (which I didn’t want to do).
