貓貓 is not really a "name" per se, it's pronounced (maau maau) the equivalent to saying "hey kitty kitty"... there's only one cat in the house so names aren't needed, it's just the cat.
The official name on the microchip registry just "Sunshine" or perhaps if I were to choose a Chinese name, it'd be like "太陽" (sun) (cuz originally I wanted an Orange cat, but didn't find one at the first shelter/rescue I went to and I was depressed and I got desparate and just picked a random cat I liked), but I never call her by an actual name cuz it feels kinda weird for some reason.
