Interestingly, this image is the one used for exaggeration and comedic effect. When they put it to the test, while women did have a good edge on seeing more individual colors than men, both women and men saw colors more in blocks. Men picking out salmon over women's hot pink (group) is interesting. I wonder if that's due to something like fishing or even just a common color choice for a shirt or something.
Green is my favorite color, and it appears to have been done dirty by everyone! They just see green and a few light greens. Now I'm feeling blue.
Speaking as a guy, not always true. I've lost some of the skill, but there was a time when I worked with paints mixing colors, and I was very good at finding the right shades for people who were lost (men and women). I understand that there are subtleties within every color.
My sarcasm would always come out though, when someone would bring in a piece of wood and ask to color match it. I'd ask "which brown"... but then would give them excellent service and figure out what worked for them. Hated and enjoyed that job.

I was gonna downvote this as generic boomer humor, but then I remembered that one xkcd survey...

Seems reasonable. But how could you do this to them?! Science! 😂

Yup. I’m not sending my husband in to get the right shade. He is a wonderful guy but he literally cannot see color the way I do…
From your link 🤣

returning made to order color paint because you changed your mind is a jerk move

It definitely is. But you know what's worse? Returning a used lawnmower at the end of summer, expecting a refund. Regularly.
