steam deck button board repair

so i tried to skip the mm since the button still worked. i cut a 2mm x 1mm piece of plastic from a pick, carved a crosspattern inside so it would fit better on the shoulder button and connected it with superglue (i figured the shoulder button would be the better place to glue, because the button on the board shouldn't break totally from glue).

sprayed it with water so it would harden faster and more relieable and dried everything. fits like a glove and the button works again

messed up the text and pictures. now my comments on the pictures seem to be alt-text. might copy later for easier readability.

I expect that, eventually, that micro switch is not going to work reliably anymore.

You ought to be able to find a replacement on sites like Mouser or digikey, installation will require an SMD rework station.
