When I was looking for a new phone a little over a year ago, I was hoping to get something compatible with lineageos, but the only current phones it supported were the pixels and the fairphones (the latter which wasn't available where I live). Everything else was 2+ years old. I hope that's changed.
Is there comprehensive guide on how to support new devices? I had Lineageos on 3 devices for over 13 years now. But my latest device (Poco f7 pro, zorn) is not yet supported, although source for some other custom roms are available.
Maybe this is a task for an llm.
This is absolutely not a task for LLM. They fumble so often you may brick the device or have critical features not work when needed the most. Not to mention any security issues that may arise depending on stuff done by LLM which may make things up.

Can't answer for him but I have a recent Samsung (S24) and I don't believe it will ever be supported by LineageOS.

Samsung phones with OneUI 8 and higher do not support bootloader unlock. Its simply not doable.

I highly recommend using vinted if you're looking for a new (used) phone. Pixels, oneplus, and nothing phones are dirt cheap (often sub 100€)
