I dunno what rules we want to have in this community, but thought I'd kick things off by this article I read, which forbodes 2026. A year (I suspect) that the centre right Labor governments and right wing LNP governments clamp down on political speech.
I wonder how long before the new federal hate speech laws are used to silence left wing

Update: I think this kinda stuff could also be posted to broader comms like Brisbane (in lieu of a Qld comm) or Aus Pol. Otherwise everything coming from this or similar sites could end up being siloed in this comm. It'll get more traction in those comms too.

Yeah, makes sense. As we don't have a rule set yet I just thought I'd put something into the good to get things rolling.
In general the idea from the original meta community post requesting it (I didn't request it), was to focus on specifically on socialism in the Australian context.
Perhaps I'll cross post in future. And get better at picking what to post 😅
