Idk about how France is actually reacting here, but i won't let then rewrite history; Kirk was immediately made into a joke, his wife transparently does not give a single fuck that he died, Trump didn't even seem to know who he was anymore! Kirk getting kirked had literally zero impact other than removing whatever evil he was going to put out from the timeline.
