Just a pinhole leak in the rim itself, it's well behind the stem.

Huh, casting defect then. Did it peen closed, or did you need to seal it from the inside? I'm guessing peening it closed isn't allowed these days.

He said they were mounted by Tire Rack, they sent him a new rim and we swapped the tire.
