One of the most extreme federal anti-trans bills ever proposed, Republicans' H.R. 7661 would prohibit schools from "promoting" or "facilitating" anything involving "gender dysphoria" or "transgenderism."

Why can't the Right just leave us alone?

There must always be an out-group to demonize, an "other" to rally against.

Also, apparently the majority of them are literally actual pedophiles and they always accuse others of what they are doing.

Because they can’t have anyone looking directly at how vile and evil they are so they gotta project at some random innocent outsider. Ten years ago it was gay frogs, now it’s trans people.
Ima shut up now because I’ll start a bad Lewis Black impersonation if I keep going.

Because they spend their entire existence repressing any joy in order to please their magic sky daddy who is increasingly, very obviously, not a real thing.
But maybe if they can just forcibly oppress the joy out of everyone else, it will.force everyone to go back to blindly believing.

At this point anyone who is a Republican is an enemy that offers a net negative to the world on all fronts, with zero redeeming qualities.

To be clear, the Nazis began by instituting laws to persecute Jews and it wasn't long before they were genociding them.

The Nazis also went after trans people
History really does repeat itself

What if you made a private school for LGBTQ kids and used vouchers to pay for it?
RamenJunkie@midwest.social · 1 pts · 204d
How woukd the dorms work? Forced coeds?
El_guapazo@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 204d
Why would there be dorms in a k-12 school? Live your perverted fantasy somewhere else.

I think Inwas mixing boarding school and private school.

If logic and reasoning could work with these imbeciles, it would never come to this stage. Unfortunately this is the world we're living in.

To quote the Atlantic from last week. Every second the Republicans are talking about trans issues (highly important to 4% of voters) they're not talking about the economy (highly important to every voter).
Every time someone brings up queer issues just go "yeah but how you gonna afford healthcare next year dummy?"
We can't win on queer issues right now, but they can absolutely lose on them. Once that happens we can go back to protecting trans people, but in a non-bombastic way.
