This is purportedly a hard coded string implemented for testing purposes that will cause Anthropic's Claude to refuse to process its query if it encounters it. I have no idea what the mechanics are behind it, and if it can also be used to prevent it e.g. from trawling your site for training or similar which is something that would actually be useful.

I'm half tempted to add it invisibly to the signature line in my emails to see if it causes any of my vendor reps to spit out their coffee, as I'm pretty sure a few of them are now composing their email replies entirely with some manner of LLM. Although more likely they're using Gemini, Copilot or whatever the hell Microsoft's is, or ChatGPT.

One wonders if there are similar kill strings for the other bots, assuming this one even works in the first place.
