Trump appoints Leo Brent Bozell III, a defender of apartheid, as ambassador to South Africa

It’s amazing how many of these pricks just completely blow up the old argument of never judging a book by its cover. Just look at this asshole. He might as well write on his jawline “aim your fist here.”

Okay, seriously, can he do one thing that isn't objectively evil?

Edit: Not only was he nominated, he was confirmed in December and is CURRENTLY the US Ambassador to South Africa.

In 1987, Bozell and the NCPAC joined a coalition of groups opposed to the Reagan administration meeting with the president of the African National Congress, the leading anti-apartheid group in South Africa. Bozell wrote that he was "proud to become a member of the Coalition Against ANC Terrorism." In 2013 Bozell complained on Twitter that the mainstream media "mythologizes" the late anti-apartheid leader and first president of a post-apartheid South Africa, Nelson Mandela.[5]

He assessed that Afghanistan could be won through slow cultural conversion by unconventional forces, described as "multiple generations of winning hearts and minds", and anticipated 100 years before such objectives could be achieved, saying:
