The EU made Draconian import tax rules, and now can't cope with the fallout.

I don't know what is so draconian about it. The exception was for parcels below 150€ of value and it was axed, because Temu and the other trash shops were abusing it.

They have taken apart and reclassified a lot of stuff that was above the threshold, to get it illegally below it.

They aren't taking apart assembled products, but orders and items that can easily be disassembled. They also under-value alot of their imports to get below the threshold.
