Then I was mistaken, sorry!
(Saw the cables, papers and something looking like a monitor base at the back. Also the tabletop looks very similar to that of a typical desk with its white coating.)
Hope it tasted as good as it looked!

I think the square on the cord is an on/off switch for a lamp, not a ferrite bead
