I don't think you're the audience if you owned every Fairphone.

I bought the fp6 and installed /e/os on it. It's fast, responsive and the battery lasts two full days. I really like, that i own this thing completly. It's so nice to unlock the boot loader without losing the varranty. This is btw my first Android ever and i really enjoy the freedom. :) I hope, that i'll be able to install Ubuntu touch in a few years down the road.

I've got a 5 and 6, other than the 5 was chunky, I've got no complaints about the hardware.

Honest review is 10/10?

PotatoesFall@discuss.tchncs.de · 2 pts · 156d (2 replies)

No lol. thats the 10th part of the thread, but I can only post one picture apparently so it posted the last

Why not just post a text post instead of posting images of your text?

PotatoesFall@discuss.tchncs.de · 3 pts · 156d

honestly I'm just genuinely stupid

Wait can I only upload 1 image? Lame. This is the final one, just follow the link for the full thread.

It's funnier to think this is the whole review, and then you still gave it a 10/10

There is no link, this is an image post. Anyway, "No Updates" is interesting when the next post on the community is about the latest software update.

I'm pretty new to fairphones, so obviously I can't speak to the longetivity aspect yet. But so far, I'm quite happy with the hardware and performance. Does everything I need it to and with great battery life. Having looked on their store, I also don't find the spare parts overpriced.

I can only concur, only thing that is a bit subpar is the camera. I hope there will be an updated camera module, like there was for an earlier model (fp4 i think).

Btw, after i changed the original OS to eOS i am now getting even better battery life!

What helped a lot for me with the camera was installing one of the unofficial GCam ports (BSG). Using that, it takes quite decent photos (with the regular lens, ultrawide is still pretty bad). Only problem is that the live camera view is oddly laggy, both on GCam and the built-in app. Hopefully that can be fixed with a software update at some point.
