Meta shuts down Metaverse after $80 billion loss, ends Horizon Worlds era

This is the biggest loss in this debacle.

Oculus had the traction and promise to become the steam deck for virtual reality, but after Meta tried to zuckify it into a platform business we have nothing to show for it, except perhaps the extremely humanlike avatar.
