5d Chess with Multiverse Time Travel isn't hard.

If you start losing, all you've gotta do is send a piece back in time to give yourself some breathing room. =D

Till I checkmate you back on turn one anyway.

Bishops are terrifying in that game. I've lost more than a few to a retrograde checkmate.

For those confused, bishops step through 2 dimensions at a time. In a normal chess game, that is X&Y, making them move diagonally. In 5D chess it can be X &T, letting it check a king in the past. Since a king in the past can't move, it's a checkmate.

holy trigonometry chess

Bishops got nothing on queens though. I managed to get a checkmate over x, y, t and p which was pretty amazing even though I was down several pieces and my kings were not in great positions.

It's funny how standard chess is already viewed as a game that requires deep strategic thought and is extremely difficult to master. And yet some people are still like "how do we make this shit even harder?"

I prefer the game two posts above about playing with his cock.

I only play this with friends because it's fun when both sides have no idea what is happening and time travel is really hard. We have been 20 moves into a game and only 5 pieces have moved from the Prime board. And the 3rd board has 3 extra pawns for some weird en passant in the 2nd time line. It's fucking crazy good fun. But also extremely confusing. Like playing chess through the lens of the movie Primer.

I'm seriously interested. Where can I learn more about this?
Is there somewhere online where I can play this?

I like both chess and variation..

There's an actual game called '5D chess with multiverse time travel'.

cynar@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 138d

It's on steam. The challenge levels are great for learning about weird moves and tactics.

prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 6 pts · 138d

It's on Steam. Good luck trying to follow what's happening though lol. The game is insane to play.

Would you ally the black and white together to purge the other dimensions? Or fight for black supremacy across all dimensions?
