Which was like, the most important thing ever for teenagers before social media and cell phones.
In highschool we had friends join a wide range of sports/clubs/activities because between a small group of us we had access to almost everything for incredibly minor time investments. And if/when caught in compromising situations, we had the excuses and connections to have it handwaved it away.
