I'm sad because they removed Tilde from the official repositories in Trixie

I liked that text editor—it was different, terminal-based but not clunky. Unfortunately, it was removed, and as far as I know, trying to rebuild it from the source code is largely impossible due to some strange dependencies. Just wanted to share that :)

Try "jed" - that's still in there and is a very similar looking curses based text editor.

That is nice, thank you!

Thanks a lot, I've searched everywhere but somehow don't heard of this one. I've tried it, and it's fixes one tilde problem, mix of tui and mouse navigation that sometimes becomes sketchy. Thanks a lot (again) :)

You're very welcome. I used it a lot before I had to learn vi for work reasons.

But the package is always available for testing and Sid!

Egual, saddly, it's not available on extrepo, nor fast forward. :(
