He's getting rid of pretty much anything which benefits the American people so that billionaires can avoid paying taxes and we can have a pointless war.

But you know Kamala Harris was bad for Gaza. Lefties that refused to vote are getting what they asked for

I have the privilege of knowing several of these types IRL.

They are still just as obstinate and as clueless as they were in the fall of 2024.

They seriously believe they are morally superior beings and that they have absolved themselves of any taint by not voting or voting for completely unserious parties like the Green Party. They are fucking proud of what they have done.

I just cannot even with them. It's all so dumb if they were teenagers, but these are supposedly full adults, at least in chronological years.

I would not call the green party not serious but it drives me bonkers that people seem to think it does not matter what outcome is. I think about not only not having all this trumping trump right now but also that the restrictions on fees went through and trust busting and non-compete clauses being a thing of the past. presumably improvements to healthcare to like the no surprise billing was.

They are rather hard to take seriously when they don't really seem to organize locally and just run someone like Jill Stein every 4 years.

we have a local green party so maybe they are just more serious in my area. really its likely a prominence thing where there are not enough greens to have a local party at work in your area.

Cue the Dems, sitting with greater numbers now than last year, rolling over and letting it happen.

They have minorites in both houses of Congress. Can't actually stop anything under those conditions

grue@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 156d (1 reply)

And yet somehow, even when they're a minority, the Republicans always manage to stop anything good. 🤔

The venn diagram of Dem/Republican overlaps like 75%

what a tool

CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 156d

Huh, I thought it was Democrats that were the "real" racists, and the cons only wanted those Confederate statues up in order to learn about history?

why do articles around this not mention that we have a seperate tax for social security and medicare and that they do not come out of general tax revenue excepting interest payments when they invest the trust in bonds.
