How is that? I read earlier today that Quebec leads the nation in sales of Tesla cars, and the province's guarantee of high-speed Internet to all providers subsidizes Starlink subscriptions to anyone who can't get fibre.
Tesla 's only sold so well because there was nothing else available at the time (5 year wait for new vehicles), and the province had a huge multi-thousand dollar EV car incentive that would be deducted from the price.
There are now other EV cars available now, but that incentive is gone.
Also, there is no guarantee for anyone to get anything if fibre doesn't exist.
We're still stuck with regular Cogeco cable, Bell, and cellphone wifi Hotspots.

There's a petition to strip fElon of his Canadian citizenship. It ended in June of last year. Seems like nothing happened since then.
