Similarly, Sleeping Bear Dunes along the shore of Lake Michigan is a famously steep climb down and back up with a famously steep fine if you can't make it back up and need to be rescued.

The fact that it's sand instead of solid ground also makes it take about twice as much effort.

i was going to say... that's the real angle? fuuuuuuck.

the beach i grew up going to, we'd park at the top of the cliff by our friend's house so we didn't have to pay for beach parking (guess who made friends so we'd get a free parking spot? that's right, my mom. she's devious). and when the staircase was out, we'd have to climb the cliffs. It would take 45 minutes to climb a 3 minute staircase walk. Fuckin' sand.
