One of the benefits on not being on monetized social media like Tiktok is I never heard about Turkey teeth until reading this news article:
(Note: the arrested man made sure to smile for his mugshot!)
Explainer:
The Mirror - 'Turkey teeth' are leaving Brits toothless and in pain but UK dentists can't help
(TL;DR: British users of Tiktok & Instagram are travelling to Turkey to get cosmetic dentistry to achieve "that grammable look" on the cheap. Often there are negative consequences like chronic pain & infections, and treatment is not covered by the NHS because these geniuses chose to fuck their teeth up.)
Of course, rap group Goldie Looking Chain got there before me with a hilarious track about Turkey teeth.

Totally unrelated to Turkey teeth
But it always entertains me when I run across bbc articles that involve large amounts of money.
Because then, when they say something like "thousands of pounds in cash" referring to cash, I get to imagine it as the unit of weight instead of number of bills, which is a far more humorous image. A bunch of bobbys opening a boot to where the car is riding low to the ground from the massive amounts of money in it.
Edit: obviously I'm not a brit, elsewise the pound as a currency wouldn't stand out as much

“That grammable look” is kind of a sad reality when you realize these people aspire to look a certain way to be on social media.

As someone currently in dental pain, why the fuck would you voluntarily get dental surgery that doesn't fix pain or other serious dental issues‽ Like I can respect an implant for a missing tooth, or something similar, but just to have a better looking smile‽
