Golden era of Turkish Cinema (Yeşilçam) Political Compass

Titles and Translations :

"Hababam Sınıfı" - lit : "Oh my Father Class", usually translated to : "The Chaos Class"
"Gülyabani/Süt Kardeşler" lit : "The wild one of the rose(name of the mythical crature)/Wetnurse Brothers"
"Kibar Feyzo" lit : "Feyzo the polite" (Feyzo is the name of the protagonist)
"Köyden İndim Şehire" : "I left the village to go to the city".

Yeşilçam refers to the golden era of turkish cinema between the 60s and 70s. I ended up with only films that star Kemal Sunal, because that's what I watched on Turkish TV when these classics would be shown.

Most of the cast is repeated between the films anyway, especially Kemal Sunal, Halit Akçatepe and Şener Şen (known to international film fans for starring in "the bandit" in the 90s).

Kemal Sunal almost always played a lanky, down on his luck, foolish and goofy everyman with his distinctive laugh, while being quite serious in real life. Halit Akçatepe usually ended up as his shorter sidekick who was a bit brighter in ensemble comedies like the ones that are not "Kibar Feyzo". Şener Şen usually played antagonist authority figures, but in "Köyden indim şehire" he played the role of the jeweler who tried to screw the boys out of their gold.

It seemed strange to me to see Şener Şen become well known as a serious actor, since I'm always used to seeing him in comedies.
