This grandma had to take a job doing Doordash to pay for her husband's chemo treatment. didn't even make enough money to pay taxes. She made like $22k in a year.

Trump wasn't even going to tip her until a journalist asked about it and he was like "oh yeah" and handed her a $100 bill...

What a dysfunctional society we live in, all because we need to protect the freedom of billionaires and corporations to exploit us for profit.

He asked her what she thought about "men in womens sports" (which is obviously transphobic) and she was uncomfortable and said "I don't have an opinion on that" and Trump hated it. I think she was just a somewhat random lady tbh, but it was probably somewhat staged

But they're really just doing skits to kick off press conferences now...

The publicly unscheduled but clearly staged press event played out just after noon as the press pool was ushered to the front door of the Oval Office to watch the president of the United States grin and receive two large bags of McDonalds from a delivery driver who then turned to reporters and praised the GOP’s move to end taxes on tipped wages in 2025.

“McDonalds!” the red-clad woman said in a tone clearly only audible to reporters outside the Oval as she rapped quickly on the door. Trump, a second later, opens the door: “Oh, nice to see you!”

“Nice to meet you,” the woman replied. The two began a banter about how the “No Tax On Tips” policy Trump championed during the 2024 election was now helping her as part of the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” passed into law last year.

They put more planning into this then the Iran war

I don’t see why all of you think this was staged. The White House rather famously allows random people to walk onto the White House grounds, knock on the door to the Oval Office, and hand the President unexamined bags of things.

It’s not like “No Tax on Tips” was created because the Supreme Court ruled that bribes to Congress given after they’ve performed an official act are considered tips now.

What the fuck even is this country anymore?

Thank you for this comment. Are we that collectively stupid that folks watch an obviously staged, impossible situation put on by the worlds most prolific liar and we feel like we need to point out that maybe the focused, composed photo of a scripted event, might not have been spontaneous?
