More abstract my goals, less intense are my emotions about the result.

Like, i wanna help people is much easier to achieve than i wanna help 10 people.

You're not on a bad track, but for me, better results are usually from doing more to define goals into actionable items instead of focusing on a non-specific end result. I'd switch gears and do something to define the 'how' while giving yourself a reasonable out if your goals just aren't aligned, something like "I'm going to go talk to the local homeless shelter and see if they need any help I could provide".
