That's... actually somewhat correct. The Bible does instruct Christians to:

follow the laws of the country they're in, even if it goes against the teachings of the Bible
not try to change the laws of the country they're in to closer resemble the rules established in the Bible

Romans 13:1-7 1 Peter 2:13-17 Matthew 22:21 (albeit this probably has the least prominence)

Ah, cool, so we're at a stalemate. We need to follow the laws, but the laws are indeed being changed to reflect the commandments of the Bible. So we can't break the laws, but the oligarchs can. Whoopee.
