I'm not sure if there's a better way to reach the mods, so I created this meta post.
I'm referring to the three pinned posts on the main page of the community. "AI Is Eating Data Center Power Demand—and It’s Only Getting Worse", "Some changes, and Boosters vs Doomers", and "For Starters". A couple of them are more than 2 years old now, and the other is almost a year old. I don't think they're useful anymore.

just hide them so you never have to see it... anytime any place pins something, I read the title and realize I don't care so I hide it and never see them again.
jebora or whatever is what I use

Thank you, but this depends on the client. No such option in marvelous web-client Alexandrite I see.
Though, magnificent Thunder, I utilize on Android, has it.

Let me see what I can do.
The thing about the Fuck AI community is that it has a lot of mods, none of whom to my knowledge were consulted before being appointed as mods. I'm not sure how many of the mods of Fuck AI are even willing to mod.
Whatever the case, we really don't have any consensus, or any way to go about achieving consensus. And the need to discuss whether we ought to unsticky some posts is far from the only thing that needs addressed with the current state of moderation on /c/fuck_ai.
I've been reticent to be the one to try to rectify that problem. And right now I've got some health problems that need dealt with before I'm likely to be able to start that process. (Should be like a week or maybe less.) But it seems like there's pretty much zero chance of anything changing with the moderation situation here unless somebody... you know... changes it.
So in short, be patient, but I am going to start the process of trying to make some things happen here sometime in the near future. Once we have some way of actually getting some consensus, I'll raise this as the first issue that needs addressed.

Thank you. And all the best with your recovery.

Hi TootSweet. Hope your health has improved. Any chance you could still un-pin these old posts? As you said, I think it just needs a mod to take action, instead of waiting for consensus.

Yeah, I went ahead and did so. Maybe on a forgiveness-rather-than-permission basis. We'll see what, if anything, comes of it.

Awesome, thanks very much. If you get in trouble, you can pin it on me :)
