I am proud to say that I know a decent amount about Icelandic pronunciation despite not being able to speak it! This is entirely because Skálmöld songs are really fun to sing along to so I memorised the soinds of a few of them
Edit: and also that one time Eyjafjallajökull shut down air travel over half of Europe
I didn't go to the one they recorded in 2013 but they did it again in 2018 with songs from Með Vættum, Vögguvísur Yggdrasils, and Sorgir and it was amazing.

Someone call that one person that wants to reintroduce þ to English
This was the site of Iceland's parliament for the best part of an entire millennium. It seems so humble for such a place

Skálmöld is my favourite band and half my t-shirts have their logo because I make bad financial decisions when I go to their concerts.

Entirely valid, they're amazing. I wish I could have been there for the concert with the Icelandic symphony orchestra

It could have been a fun way to trigger bugs in random fediberse software 😁
