TIL the Tytonidae (barn owls) do the same "one-leg perching" that of Athene cunicularia (burrowing owls). Lol

I believe all birds do it. It lets them rest a leg since they don't sit down, and if they tuck it up in their feathers, they can warm it up a bit since many species have bare legs.
