in new Lemmy images are not loaded

In the new Lemmy version all images are black placeholders and I need to tap the placeholder image to load the real image. Is there a setting to load images so I can see them as I scroll through content?

Edit_01: I should have mentioned that I use Jerboa. The issue seemed to be the low bandwith mode as others have mentioned. Thanks

I had the same problem in jerboa. Solution for me was to go to settings > look and feel > set low bandwidth mode to off

Yep, that fixed it for me too. I had never enabled it and it was in the default mode of when necessary or something like that. Switching it to off loaded everything normally.

Thank you, it worked!

Not sure what you mean by "new Lemmy version", but images work fine, including on lemmy.world.

The issue probably is with your 3rd party app. Go find the support community for the specific app you're using.

Anyone having any issues with this pic?

Jerboa? Do this:

Its because you have data savings mode turned on on your phone.

If you want to force jerboa to ignore that, then go into the jerboa settings and click Low bandwidth mode > always off.
