I think my cousin has this type of turtle. His turtle weighs 80-ish pounds! Big boy
Sulcata or African spurred tortoise. Ours is about 65lbs and 8 or 9 years old. I forget, my wife would know better how old.
Oh no, he's noticed us! He's coming to chomp! We only have checks watch 15 minutes to move a few feet away.
Caught his eye in the first pic, I love it!
What do you call the leg scale things? Are they just elongated scales?
They are. Scutes or prominent, overlapping scales.
Built for fucking war.
But probably a slow, gentle one.
