Fucking lord why can't this city manage to implement normal municipal taxes? Everything is a fee, or an office you have to send a separate check to. Every other city with it's own taxes that I've lived in you just put your address into the tax software and you get a flat number for your city taxes. I'm happy to pay a tax for transportation, just don't be so god damned weird about how it's collected! Put my taxes on my tax bill!!

B. Billing consumed utilities is an inherently regressive tax and is a big step backwards.

Yeah this feels like an extremely dumb move, especially with all the recent financial mismanagement within the Portland government
