i used to be on rawtext.club some years ago, but i can't tell from the website if it's still active.

freeshell.de is a good one, it's postcardware - you get an account only if you send a postcard.

tilde.institute is a fish linux pubnix, afaik the only one of its kind.

then there is tilde.club, which i guess is FEDORA yuck.

some more can be found here:

freeshell.de - SSH to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS server, who hurt you and why do you want to hurt others?

pmjv@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 140d (1 reply)

undthr@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 140d

Postcards are awfully old fashioned. Where can you even buy a postcard nowadays?

undthr@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 140d (7 replies)

you can make your own, i recommend 216-297 gsm cover stock

sl@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 140d (6 replies)

pieguy@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 140d (4 replies)

Do you seriously expect us to believe that qrstuv would ever josh us?

sl@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 140d (3 replies)

undthr@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 141d (5 replies)

i don't have an answer for you, but i'm curious what people use them for when most of us probably have plenty of our own 'nix boxes

0x0@infosec.pub · 1 pts · 140d (4 replies)

Ages ago i used one as an irc bouncer

pieguy@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 140d (3 replies)

I'm currently running a "bouncer" (irssi in tmux) on SDF's MetaArray, I should probably find a better solution at some point

undthr@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 139d (2 replies)

alternative to MetaArray or alternative to irssi in tmux?
i really like irssi in abduco (abduco+dvtm if you need multiplexing)

pieguy@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 139d (1 reply)

More just migrate to a proper bouncer system is what I'm thinking

undthr@horp.sciops.net · 2 pts · 139d

irc7 looks interesting, also soju
for a hosted solution, chat.sr.ht looks ok to me
