Mount Mitchell Cafe & Eatery

Last time I ate there was 5 years ago. It was the last day it was open. There was going to be a renovation over the next year and somehow that turned into 5 years with the hurricane. If it is still the same management company the food it good. For me it is the atmosphere. I like to go up and spend the morning hiking in the clouds and have lunch. My favorite day was a cold misty July day. After I ate I just walked over to the other side to the conference area and sat there in the chair staring out the window in silence as the misty rain rolled by the window. Back then there were a few couches so I decided to take nap. It was a good nap.
