Could well be a data point of 1, but I really struggled to get it to run under windows (as in to connect with the emulator). YMMV but I ended up resorting to a Debian Laptop and the process was much smoother.

Not really surprised if that's the case. I'd assume most devs in the team and out aren't really on Windows.

I need to get my Linux box back running.
