I freaking love Inkscape. I've been using Adobe Illustrator since the 90s, when the TPM requirement for Windows 11 was announced I immediately started distrohopping. I had to switch to Inkscape to keep doing my job and still be able to switch to Linux. In about a week I was as fast and good as on illustrator.

Truly amazing piece of software.

That's pretty amazing to hear (alright alright, "read"). Congratz on the switch to Linux as well.

About two years now, fully Linux based home.

  • 2 android phones
  • 2 android tablets
  • Homelab running Proxmox VE
  • 2 desktop PCs running bazzite
  • 1 HTPC running bazzite connected to our living room TV
  • 2 Laptops running Aurora

Rock solid, no problems, no maintenance whatsoever. My family doesn't need me to use any device.

Inkscape is a great vector graphics editor. I sometimes use it as an alternative to Adobe Illustrator, especially when I need a free, open-source solution or when working on simpler projects.

While Illustrator has more advanced features, Inkscape is surprisingly capable for many design tasks and it runs well on lower-end hardware. For anyone who doesn't want to pay for an Adobe subscription, Inkscape is definitely worth trying.

Inkscape is peak FOSS software as it is actually feels ergonomic to use without requiring a PHD in it

Wanna do something? There’s an icon for it in the toolbar!

No weird paradigms, no attempt at trying to reinvent a better wheel, it just works!

I have tried to use gimp for a while and it still feels backwards, but inkscape just gives such a great first impression! Feels so intuitive.

I use Inkscape as infinite canvas for brainstorming and it's awesome. The performance is so much better than any other tool I've tried too

This update is needed and I hope it works. I have experienced many crashes over my relatively short experience with it over the last couple of weeks. Although Inkscape is really great software vector images are really cool.
