Jesus Christ... Manhattan is gigantic too...

To keep with US media traditions, that's over 70,000 hot dogs long!

Over 2,800 school buses long.

Over 30,000 medium sized boulders set end to end.

Over 3,500 elephants long!

What! 70,000 hotdogs? That is about 50,000 costco hotdogs

An elephant is only 20 hot dogs long?

Asafum@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 123d (3 replies)

It would seem so! I'm using the American standard measuring hotdog, the "footlong"

A standard hotdog is 6 inches long, not a foot. Footlong hotdogs do exist but they require an adjective to function.

I was just making a joke about the "American standard measuring hotdog" being the footlong.

Ah, common mistake, you're thinking of the American standard measuring sandwich.
