What is the go to puffer jacket

Hi UK. I’ve recently moved here and I find myself wanting to buy a puffer jacket (not normally a thing back home).

From what I can gather, the old Uniqlo Ultra Light Down jackets used to be the go-to recommendation, but it seems that line was replaced by the newer Pufftech range, which people don’t seem nearly as enthusiastic about.

So what are people buying these days instead? I’m after something fairly lightweight and packable that I can layer under a raincoat rather than a huge standalone winter jacket.

Would appreciate any recommendations (especially good value options).

Thanks!

It depends on budget. North face has down jackets that are very warm but shrinks down to very little. Quite expensive though!

It does look to be a bit on the pricier side, but probably worth it if its its quality. Thank you!

I’m not sure if they’re your style but both Snugpak and Keela are UK companies making jackets for UK climate - and beyond. And Craghoppers might be worth checking also.

Another couple of options would be Cotopaxi and Patagonia. I've been happy with both. Wait for a sale
