Does the New Jolla Phone support "desktop mode"?

Hi guys, I hope you can help me answer this question. Does the new Jolla Phone have the capability of being used as a "desktop" device if you plug-in the monitor via the usb-c? I am getting some different answers on the internet, so it would be nice to get a clear answer since this could be a dealbreaker for me.

As far as i understood the new phone doesn't have video out, it is physically not connected, and there also is no software support atm.

So maybe later with TOH

Ah, didn't catch that short. That is giving me hope!

TOH will only support up to a theoretical speed of 25 Mbps, far from enough to drive a display.

Yep it is sad. Hopefully the feature will come with a J2 phone..

I got this answer from a user on the sailfishos forum:

"You are right, there is no clear statement from Jolla concerning convergence, with the DEX-like use of a SFOS phone announced or promised by Jolla. The statement absence here clearly means you cannot rely on this feature to come soon. I also used sometimes DEX in the past as Laptop substitute in the office, very convient, and sadly not on the SFOS horizon…"
