"I feel very strongly that the APVMA is considering wildlife as a priority over human life."

I feel pretty strongly that this cretin and their ilk have allowed this problem to get as bad as it has.

Instead of managing it properly, it's a problem that's been left to fester, and now drastic measures have to be taken that will undoubtedly do deep damage to the surrounding ecosystem.

I hope the cheap political clout and soundbites were worth it.

This is just one of several Local Government Areas which are impacted by the mouse plague, and given the limited powers these LGA's or councils have, I'm curious how you came to believe they caused the problem.

Mouse plagues are the result of abundant food and favourable breeding conditions. Unless you think the councils control the weather, or write the laws on poison bait use, I don't see how you think this was caused by the councils.

Plenty of farmers have been speaking up about it for a long time and nothing useful has been done up until this point to actually bring the population under control.

Mice plagues aren't just some random hurricane that blows in. These populations take time to reach these critical masses and plenty of regular, sustained baitings, trappings, viral-vector agents, etc, could have been done on both a local, state, and corporate level.

How come these corporations that are in charge of this abundance of food not properly baiting and exterminating the rodents? Why haven't the local and state councils emplaced appropriate contingencies for this event? It's not the first time this has ever happened.

If these fucking multinational foreign-owned companies paid their fare share of tax, maybe the state government could do something about the issue instead of the useless elected clowns juat throwing their hands up saying "Whelp I Guess nothing could be done about this hyuk hyuk"
