Insane to think how much suffering could have been averted had certain groups in the West not been Russian bootlickers (or Cold War dinosaurs) and simply given Ukraine what they needed from the very start.
Trading fire with Yemen after being repeatedly fired upon is hardly an invasion.
Brazil? In that time period? Did you mean someone else?
The UN-approved no-fly zone in Libya?
Mexico? What?
You are right, triggered by mentioning Brazil, that I should include the bizarre kidnapping in Venezuela also in 2026, which was also unjustified imperialism. What a horrific year it's been.
Agreed, the effective oil blockade of Cuba in 2026 (this fucking year, fucking firehose of atrocities) is inexcusable, as is the (less-impactful) embargo that's been going on for decades.
But if we're broadening it from invasions to general imperialism, Russia's list would also grow, making the comparison attempted by the original commenter (which itself is nothing but a whataboutism, as regardless if the US's crimes equaled or even exceeded Russia's in the same time period, it still wouldn't justify Russia's unprovoked invasion of a sovereign country) even less meaningful.

Completely agree, also Russia/USSR invaded way more countries, just the rest of the world was okay with that at the time.
Example Czechoslovakia.
But now do US.

US Invasions in the same time period:
2001 - Taliban-controlled areas of Afghanistan in support of the Northern Alliance
2003 - Iraq - Entirely unjustified imperialism
Arguably, mid-2010s - Syria in supporting Rojava
EDIT: 2026 - Kidnapping of Maduro in Venezuela - Entirely unjustified imperialism
2026 - Iran (Ongoing) - Entirely unjustified imperialism

Also not invasion, but the Cuba blockade is inexcusable too

Oh yeah 100% I wasn't trying to downplay what russia has been doing, or to justify it.

Then either your understanding of chronology or history in general is severely lacking.
