In my barbers yesterday and overheard someone else talk about Sound of Freedom,"they tried to block it in America". Is this true? I heard it had done alright for its size.

Opened July 4th on 2,634 movie screens, by August 3rd it had increased to 3,411 screens and ended up grossing $182 million in the US over it's run, so I'm not sure how that's a "block".

The real conspiracy is how right wingers pumped up the numbers by buying tickets and not going.

This has to be one of the saddest attempts at astroturfing for that pathetic movie.

What's astroturfing?

I think it's when companies create fake posts on social media to advertise something, try and change the narrative

Ah right. Not my intent but I can see how you'd think it.

No worries atal. I enjoyed the review. Don't even think I'll see the film, I hear it's upsetting in that emotionally manipulative way you mentioned and I ain't got time for it.
