Colorado looks overrated struggling with Nebraska.

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 3y

Evidently Colorado's weakness is teams with a defense.

ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social · 7 pts · 3y

You know what, if/when CU wins this, they're gonna be way over-hyped before conference play and will get railroaded by some of those PAC teams

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 3y

Nebraska d making solo tackles in the open field. I haven't seen that in years.

Colorado really does have a gorgeous campus & stadium. One of the most scenic settings in CFB (although, to be honest, I like most stadiums and campuses)

Holomew@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Boulder as a whole is ridiculously beautiful.

TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 3y

Hell, the whole state is beautiful. Boulder especially so though.

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 3y

I hate to admit it, but you're absolutely right.

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 3y

This defense doesn't deserve Jeff Sims.

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 3y

Nebraska doing Nebraska things now.

ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social · 5 pts · 3y (2 replies)

Bad luck on that FG. Evidently, if Nebraska didn't have bad luck, they'd have no luck at all

ryathal@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 3y

They are lucky enough to be in a conference where there are even worse teams.

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 3y

I've heard we mined every ounce of good luck in the state during the 90s.

ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social · 5 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Wooowwww totally bogus penalty for a phantom unsportsmanlinke on the sideline. That really sucks

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 3y

Yeah. We have no trouble sabotaging ourselves. Definitely don't need any help from the refs. Hopefully it's the only one and this game doesn't look like the KU game yesterday.

Fridge@lemmy.one · 5 pts · 3y

Let's go "Choo-buh", I guess. Lol, who sees "Chubba" and pronounces it "Choo-buh".

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 3y (2 replies)

Hoping Nebraska's defense can keep us in this. The offense isn't it.

ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social · 5 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Not encouraging to let Colorado convert on that 3rd down. When you had 2nd and 24, you have to turn that into a stop

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 3y

Jumping offsides to extend the drive also does not inspire confidence.

Fridge@lemmy.one · 5 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Welp. Here's hoping N can make a substantial reset over half time.

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 3y

One of those substantial changes has to be taking Sims off the field.

ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social · 4 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Are the refs calling this game a little tighter because it's a rivalry?

BanjoShepard@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 3y

I don't know if it's because of that. I feel like it always varies from crew to crew.

Fridge@lemmy.one · 4 pts · 3y

Sack, to running QB TD. Good ol' Nebraska, triggering heart attacks in fans.

ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social · 4 pts · 3y

What is that throne on CU's sideline? Is that their turnover gimmick?

ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social · 4 pts · 3y (1 reply)

That was a short drive. For Nebraska's sake, I hope they can find a way to score points on defense and special teams...

Tujio@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 3y

Looks like they're kinda starting to get a run game going.

wjrii@kbin.social · 4 pts · 3y

TCU with the transitive win over Nebraska!

I hate that this is now a world where I want Deion to prove that he assembled a really good team.

ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social · 4 pts · 3y

Ooof. Just fall on it, man. Brutal turnover.

ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social · 4 pts · 3y (1 reply)

I know they're saying the "L" on the jersey stands for "leader" but, come on, in a sports context "L" always means loser. Why do you think they rebranded Super Bowl 50 to abandon the Roman numerals?

g0d0fm15ch13f@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 3y

Fun fact: They rebranded to 50 over L to preserve aesthetic balance

ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social · 4 pts · 3y

Nebraska out here tackling themselves now

YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y

Just got home from the game. Still pumped up from running onto the field. Great win for Colorado.
