I only have one left hand so I use my other hand to prepare onions like this.

If I had an extra hand I'd use it to build another arm so I could hug you while cooking onions.

The horror here is using that knife to cut onions.

Get a proper chef's knife, hell a cheap Victorinox you find in any commercial kitchen is like $20

protip: if you cut along the 'grain' of the onion instead of against it, you'll be able to get a thinner slice and it will make you cry less. Cutting against the grain is better for salads or uncooked onion imo
