A little appreciation message for my @fairphone! ❤️

Friday I spilled some liquid on it, and later plugged it in. No charging + a tiny puff of smoke/steam... NOT good.

So I ordered a new bottom module from Fairphone (£17), and accurate tracking updates told me it'd arrive Tues afternoon.

It did, I followed the simple install video (took 30 mins) and my 6-year old #Fairphone3 is now good as new.

AND I had use of it the whole time, since I just swapped in a spare battery.

@DarkOptimism @fairphone
I managed to get a new fairphone shipped to me here in Australia, where they aren't marketed. After setting it up I realised that they are one of the phones specifically blacklisted after the 3G network shut down.
Had to buy a Pixel instead :android_logo: 😬
Hope a solution is found at some point.

Fantastic, I hope to contribute to that world by supporting the brand!

@DarkOptimism @fairphone My Fairphone 6 arrived yesterday. Bit delayed (~2weeks) purely because Brexit, it came via UK customs, but does the job. Loving the repairability aspect, but may try ordering a spare battery to see if there's a similar delay on parts for the UK.
Not Fairphone's fault if there is, only ourselves to blame.
