Peerseek

https://peerseek.video/

A couple of days ago I found a good search engine for peertube and I thought to share it here. Hopefully functionality like this will be standard within peertube itself.

Ohhh, this does find the Vanilla OS video by The Linux Experiment which regular Peertube did not find yesterday. Thanks for this!

Yes and it seems like it kind of tries to recommend other videos from what you have searched before. Which also is cool! :)

Brief try (comparing to my instance which has integrated Sepiasearch):

Pro: found exactly what I was looking for without it being among lots of unwanted results.

Con: can't sort or filter by duration.

I am thinking of starting to host a peertube instance myself, how did you include sepiasearch in yours?

Sepiasearch is included by default. You can choose whether it's the default or your local content gets searched by default. You can also swap it for a selfhosted or any other version in the settings. Of course you can pick from local/Vidiverse search on every search query.

Okey awesome. Thanks for the information. :)

Sorry for the ambiguity. When I said "my instance", I meant "the instance that I have an account on" (which is peertube.wtf). I do not host an instance.
