So in the time that this single Falcon 9 first stage has flown and landed 35 times, its competitor company [ULA] has made 29 total launches. Put another way, this rocket has put more mass into orbit than more than two dozen expendable rockets over half a decade of effort.

It's really amazing. I remember when the goal for these things was to be able to launch and land 10 separate times before having to be scrapped and remade. And the fact that this thing has done 35 is quite frankly amazing.

Each time one of these things successfully lands, it just goes to prove that reusable rocket boosters are definitely possible and makes access to space just that little bit cheaper in the future.

I think it was said that if you had to have a new Boeing 747 for every single airplane flight that airplane flights would cost like half a million dollars per ticket and instead they cost like four to eight hundred dollars per ticket
