It's sort of weird to live in the time line where the Head Honcho Big Cheese both starts a war for no real reason with no real goals that makes fossil fuels expensive AND has a personal vendetta against wind farms that makes renewable energy impossible to build.
And on top of that a third of the country thinks he's the best President America has ever had!
[Edit: And of course the newest over-hyped technology is super-extremely-power-hungry!]

Why does the pentagon get to decide if wind farms get built? If only the wind farms were a child rapist, then the pentagon would defend them to the death...

"Since April, the Pentagon has stopped all military reviews of proposed wind farms, which are meant to ensure that turbines don’t interfere with local radar or flight paths. Virtually every new wind project in the country needs to undergo these reviews, which until recently were considered routine and often completed within months."
Second paragraph.

Every tall tower gets this review, but they're only blocking wind turbines. Radio towers and skyscrapers get approved ina few weeks
